Yanchep Beach Primary School opened as an Independent Public School in 2014 with 319 students and now we welcome just over 600 children through our doors. Over time, YBPS has gained an enviable reputation for our highly professional and supportive culture. At Yanchep Beach Primary School we understand the importance of every child having a strong sense of belonging and feeling safe and valued within the school community.
At Yanchep Beach Primary School, we are committed to delivering high-quality, research-based learning programs that empower every student to thrive. Our dedicated staff work collaboratively to ensure consistency in teaching, creating a stable and supportive environment where students can confidently progress through their learning journey.
We closely monitor student progress, adapting our programs to meet individual needs. Our structured daily Literacy block encompasses all aspects of the English curriculum, guided by evidence-based approaches such as, Talk for Writing, Sounds-Write, Word Origins and Heggerty. Our educators have a deep understanding of The Science of Reading, ensuring students build strong foundational literacy skills and we have developed a strong relationship with the West Coast Language Development centre to constantly refine our practice.
In Mathematics, we focus on conceptual understanding, engaging students in hands-on learning that builds upon their prior knowledge through us of the Top 10 Maths program. Our specialist programs in Science, Music, Languages (Indonesian), Visual Arts, and Physical Education enrich our students’ educational experience, nurturing well-rounded learners.
Technology is seamlessly integrated across all learning areas, with iPad technology enhancing engagement and preparing students for the future. Shared devices are available for all students and students from Years 4-6 invited to participate in our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program to further enhance their learning experiences within the classroom through a careful balance of technology and non-technology based activities.
