Our Principal's Message

Welcome to our website.

Yanchep Beach Primary School opened as an Independent Public Schools in 2014 to 319 students. There are now 790 students enrolled. We all share a common appreciation being ‘new to a school’ given our emerging history, so when new students and their families continue to arrive we embrace and support them with a ‘Little Wave, Big Wave ‘ support network. Yanchep Beach PS brings a progressive and innovative approach to learning, setting out to make a positive difference in the lives of students every day whilst pursuing high standards of conduct and academic achievement. The school enjoys exceptional facilities and sits in the heart of the local area in a rapidly expanding local community.

Our challenge is to sustain our initial success. We wish to continue to be known as:

Our learning programs are based upon what research clearly states works in our context and are being successfully implemented across the whole school by a highly dedicated merit selected staff. Letters and Sounds provides learners with the foundation literacy skills they need, Talk for Writing and other First Steps associated strategies further complement our literacy program. Science, STEM, visual arts, physical education, music and Aboriginal Languages delivers a rich and broad spectrum of specialist support for the ‘whole child’ approaches of our school. Integrated technology is evident everywhere to help prepare our learners for the future and supported within our Apple technology environment.

As valued tenants within the local community we deliver and support a range of programs and initiatives beyond normal class time all developed to address the varied interests of our growing learners and for the benefit of our ‘students first’ approach’.

Further detail of our goals and programs can be found in our Business Plan. I hope the website provides you with what you are seeking and hope to meet you soon.
